Oily SkinOily skin is a source of unnecessary embarrassment and anxiety for so many. Yes! Your body is trying to tell you something. But the message may be as simple as "big hormonal changes going on here". Let's start with the basics: First you will need to wash the oily parts twice daily - with the appropriate product. Second, and you already know this - look long and hard at your diet (see Combination Skin section on "bad oils"). And third, Relax! Oily skin usually has peaks and plateaus. This too shall pass. Mint is a powerful herbal astringent to dry up oily patches. If acne is an issue, try our Aloe Tea Tree oil bars and liquids. The Blue Bar may help for cystic acne. For maintenance you may want to switch to something milder like the citrus liquids or bars - this may change seasonally as well. Experiment! Find out what works best for you (read the Dry Skin section on stress and skin). Avoid frequent use of alcohol or witch hazel directly on your skin. Consider a vegetable/grain based diet. Take your vitamins and supplement with chelated minerals (important). Drink lots of fresh water. We suggest these products: Bar Soap:
